MOLLY RINGWALD PROJECT
TMRP was formed in 2012 as a fun side project. Little did the original band members know that this "side project" would quickly turn them into an overnight success. After they had played their seventh gig, the band was being sought out by every nightclub in the area as they quickly became the highest drawing band on the Central Coast. Their fan base grew like wildfire which resulted in sold-out shows at virtually every venue they have ever played which continues to this day!
The band is most known for their high energy performances, stellar musicianship and a set list that contains the "best of the best" songs of the 80's. We pride ourselves on our "all killer-no-filler" set list picking songs that consistently move the crowd and leave them wanting more. The band has consistently sold out 800 seat events within 1 week of tickets going on sale surpassing many "signed" touring bands coming to the same venues. The band has over 5,600 Facebook fans who consistently engage with the band, a daily website hit average of over 100 users a day and an e-mail list of well over 1500 members.
The band has put on their own New Years Eve show every year at Santa Barbara's Fess Parker Resort outselling every venue in town on ticket sales bringing an average of 600-750 people every year! The band recently expanded into the Morro Bay area, (After never playing there before) and sold out the first 2 venues they played at, (one being the Siren). The band booked a follow up gig at the Siren 8 months later and sold it out a second time, leaving the venue owners with no doubt of the bands following.
The Molly Ringwald Project has proven to be an unstoppable music force with an equally unstoppable fan base...and they are just getting started!
